20 August means…
Happy 1 year to my crib!
Still feeling surreal that when I open my eyes I’m not looking at someone else’s ceilings and when I open my door I’m not seeing other people in the house (it’s 7th month but not in the spooky sense LOL)
Had a lot of post OTP thoughts actually but as usual they’re still jumbled up in the void of my brain so they’re not comprehensible in words at this moment but ask me about it! I’m sure I’ll find a way to conjure them into beings haha
And thoughts about after moving in? Lots! But good ones first hehe. Thankful that i decided to go ahead to buy last year instead of this year because it’s been crazy at work (posts on this another day) and with the commute to work being cut to half, it really reduces a toll on mental health. I now leave house at 8.45 and still be able to reach office by 9.20 (still late but you get the point I’m making hahah). I love living alone and cooking alone and just procrastinating without people judging but sometimes I do think about the what ifs. What if I continued renting and waited to get a HDB, would I be happier? But then again I made this decision to get myself out of some people groups (iykyk) so I guess it wasn’t a wrong decision then.
I told myself I’ll cry less after moving in because it’s all literally what I wanted at that moment. It still is but I don’t think I cried less but at least nobody will have to see my ugly cry haha.
Anyways, definitely all these would not be possible without God. Thank You for 365 days of blessings, for those strength building times where I just wanted to give up after spending 6h to build those taobao furniture or just to haul them in, for those times when my black fingers killed another plant or when those lousy tapes killed yet another of my motion lights.
Thank You for this crib though small, to shelter me from the weathers of life. A solace where I work out my insecurities and my fears. And may You continue to guide me to be a blessing to others.
A house to a home WIP.
And to end off, this verse has been on my message board which serves as a constant reminder
Ecc 3:11 He has made things beautiful in his time.
Indeed.
